House Regulations
To ensure the safety and comfort of guests staying at the Kyoto Century Hotel, every guest is requested to observe and comply with the following House Regulations established in accordance with Article 10 of our Terms and Conditions for Accommodation Contracts. If a guest does not comply with these regulations, Kyoto Century Hotel may choose not to permit further use by the guest of the guest’s hotel room or other hotel facilities. The guest may be asked to compensate for damage in the event of an accident, and the Hotel may not be liable for such damages.
1. Valuables
During your stay, please store valuables, including currency (cash), securities, precious metals, and other valuable items in the safe deposit box (free of charge) provided at the front desk.
2. Guest Rooms
(1) Please check the evacuation route map posted on the back of the guest room door and the emergency exits on each floor immediately upon arrival.
(2) Do not use any open flames, such as for heating or cooking, in the guest rooms.
(3) Smoking is prohibited in the guest rooms. If you wish to smoke, please use the smoking room on the first floor.
(4) Always lock your room door when you are inside or going to sleep.
(5) If there is a knock on the door, do not open it carelessly; check through the peephole. If you are visited by a suspicious person, please dial 2 to contact the front desk.
(6) Please meet with visitors in the lobby.
(7) Please do not use the guest rooms or lobby as office spaces, places for business, or any purpose other than accommodations, unless permitted by special contract with the Hotel.
(8) Please do not significantly alter the current state of the guest room, such as moving furniture or installing or remodeling the room, unless permitted by special contract with the Hotel.
(9) Please be considerate and refrain from making loud noises.
(10) Please dispose of garbage in designated areas within the facility. Littering in public areas is prohibited.
3. Room Key Card
(1) When leaving your room during your stay, take your key card with you and make sure the door is locked.
(2) If you require a signature to enter the Hotel’s restaurants, bars, etc., please present your room key card or registration card.
(3) Please present your registration card to receive your key card at the front desk.
4. Payment
(1) Please pay at the front cashier upon check-in.
(2) We do not accept checks and do not offer currency exchange.
(3) We do not provide advance payments for purchases, tickets, taxi fares, postage stamps, luggage shipping, or the like.
5. Storage
Items stored in the cloakroom will be stored for one week from the date of deposit, unless otherwise specified. Please be advised that items unclaimed after this period will be disposed of.
6. Lost Property
Lost properties will be kept at the Hotel for a specific period, after which they will be handled in accordance with the Lost Property Act.
7. Prohibited Items
Please refrain from bringing the following items or engaging in any of the following activities into the Hotel that may cause a nuisance to other guests:
(1) Dogs, cats, small birds, or other pets (except assistance dogs);
(2) Flammable or combustible items;
(3) Items that emit foul odors;
(4) Gambling or other behavior that disrupts public morals, or behavior that disturbs other guests;
(5) Leaving the guest room in a yukata or slippers;
(6) Firearms, swords, or stimulants prohibited by law;
(7) Ordering delivery from outside stores, such as pizza delivery;
(8) Advertising, distributing promotional materials, selling goods, or soliciting;
(9) Leaving items in common areas such as hallways or staircases.
8. Accommodating Minors
Minors are prohibited from staying in the Hotel without parental consent.
9. Smoking in Guest Rooms
If smoking is confirmed in the guest room, a cleaning fee of 50,000 yen will be charged in addition to the accommodation fee.
10. Emergencies
The use of open flames in guest rooms is strictly prohibited. Call 119 in the event of a fire. Hotel staff will provide evacuation guidance in the event of a fire, earthquake, or other emergency. Be sure to evacuate as instructed.
11. Other
We reserve the right to refuse accommodation and use of the Hotel if any of items (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), (9), (10), (11), or (12) of Article 5 of the Terms and Conditions for Accommodation Contracts, as separately stipulated by the Hotel, apply to you.
